Don Vanderslice owns Don’s Blue Water Pools, a pool and spa service company based in Frisco. His specialty is managing the regular needs of your pool to keep it sparkling blue, through services such as these. And I’ve heard first-hand from many of Don’s clients, that they could not ask for a better “pool guy.”

But what is so Savvy about Don is that he’s a great neighbor, too. The other day, I was taking some mail into the post office, and I spotted Don’s pool truck. I looked for him to say hi, but never found him, so I completed my errand and left.

As I was driving away, I finally saw Don: he was across the parking lot, helping a lady fix the flat tire on her car. And when I asked him about it later, he mentioned that he had actually been helping the elderly gentleman in the adjacent car, whose alternator stopped working—when the second disabled car pulled up!

In other words… in the heat of the morning, on a sunny August day in Texas, his busiest time of year… Don Vanderslice stops what he’s doing to roll up his sleeves and assist not one but two stranded Frisco motorists.

That, my friends, is what we call the Savvy Way: caring about others, doing the right thing, and being a good neighbor. Frisco is lucky to have residents and business owners like Don. If you need pool service, you should give Don a call.
