Apps For Healthy Kids

Fitropolis Stackers wants to win an iPhone app contest to teach kids about nutrition

Apps for Healthy Kids is an iPhone application contest put on by the national “Let’s Move” campaign, encouraging companies to create apps to promote kids’ nutrition, with $60,000 in prizes to the winner.

And our Savvy friend Michelle’s creation featuring Thumbs Up Johnnie is currently in 3rd place of all the entries… with Fitropolis Stackers, a game which lets kids stack healthy foods to win.

And unlike some of the other entries with high votes, Fitropolis Stackers is actually fun and appealing to kids. (Some of those apps look like they were modeled off complicated financial projections! Yawn!)

So go to the site and cast your vote… you can help Fitropolis Stackers fight childhood obesity.
