Frisco Freedom Fest features fabulous fireworks and fun!

Frisco Freedom Fest features fabulous fireworks and fun!

As Robert Earl Keen sang, “Hey baby, it’s the 4th of July…” only this year, the big Frisco shindig takes place on Saturday, July 3.

Frisco Freedom Fest happens the day before Independence Day, at Frisco Square.

This year will see the largest-ever Children’s Expo, featuring two Euro bungees, a rock climbing wall, midway games, puppet show, face painting, giant slide and a mini train ride. The community stage will feature local entertainers.

Don’t miss the Hometown Hero Exhibit showcasing Frisco’s police and fire departments. Meet McGruff the Crime Dog, Sparkie the Fire Dalmatian, as well as Siren, Squirt, Smokey and Flash, the clowns from Frisco Fire Safety Town.

Pizza Hut Park will host a Major League Soccer match between our home team, FC Dallas and the Kansas City Wizards.

But you know what the gang will be clamoring for: one of the largest fireworks shows in North Texas. They’ll start lighting fuses at about 9:45 pm.

Check out the website for event details regarding costs, parking, pets, coolers, chairs and the like.

Happy day-before-your-birthday, America!
