Dadfest!

Fun for dads and kids of all ages can be had at Dadfest this weekend in Richardson

Fun for dads and kids of all ages can be had at Dadfest this weekend in Richardson

A great family event takes place this Saturday, June 12, at Galatyn Park in Richardson (where the Wildflower Festival is held).

Just in time for Father’s Day, Dadfest celebrates fathers and kids, focusing on fun activities and men’s health. The fun includes a dad & kid look-alike contest (bring your Mini-Me!), bounce house, rock climbing wall, and exhibits from Lowe’s and Home Depot. Kids can play in the fountains at Galatyn Park. And dads will also be able to receive various health screenings.

But don’t miss the runs! There is a 50-Yard Dash for kids 8 and under, and all participants get medals. There is a Diaper Dash for babies < 12 months, with prizes going to the fastest babies.

And there is the 16th Annual Dadfest 5K for dads and kids, including a dad-child team option. What a family-friendly way to get your kiddos excited about running and health!

Proceeds from the event go to the Urology Research & Education Foundation (UREF). Get all the details here at the Dadfest website.

Go, Daddy!
