Frisco Farmers Market is Here!
As opposed to the way a supermarket tomato tastes like… nothing? It sure looks very pretty and plump and shiny red… but looks aren’t everything, for those who care about eating and cooking with good food.
Well, tomato-lovers, and organic beef lovers, and lovers of fresh corn, and local honey, and strawberries and cukes and homemade pies… mark your calendars, and rejoice!
The Frisco Farmers Market opened last Saturday, and they will be bringing you fresh, local foods every Saturday between now and October 23. Hosted by Frisco Square and presented by the Frisco Noon Lions Club, you can visit the Farmers Market and meet local vendors carrying vegetables, fruits, fresh eggs, pasture-fed meats, and all manner of homemade goods.
But go early—when the vendors run out, they can’t just go open a box in the cooler in the back. Gone is gone! The Market is open from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, or sellout, rain or shine. Take the kids, and talk about where food comes from, and meet the people who are putting dinner on your table.
This is a great way to support sustainable food, local businesses, and good eating all in one trip.
Frisco Farmers Market! We’ll see you there…
