Today is the 40th annual celebration of Earth Day, and it’s hard to believe how far the little hippie movement has come! We actually know and care about recycling and sustainable stewardship now; today, it’s an everyday way of life instead of an outlier culture.

If you and your family want to find a hands-on way to celebrate Earth Day, consider Frisco’s “Clean It and Green It” event this Saturday.

The event starts at IKEA, where volunteers check in, and then spend two hours helping clean up around Frisco. Then, everyone comes back to IKEA for food, games, and raffle prizes.
