Not sure you can commit to Fort Worth this weekend for the Main Street Arts Fest? Here are some fun outings closer to home.

Friday, April 9

Friday Night Lights kicks off in Old Downtown Frisco this week. Head down to Main Street between N. County Rd and the train tracks to visit area merchants who will have special hours and activities. A fashion show will take place at the gazebo at 7pm, and VIP tables including complimentary food and bev are available for those who want to enjoy the sunset among friends. Get more info at the website.

Saturday, April 10:

Are you a trash-to-treasure-hunter? Hit the Plano Centre for the Junior League’s Trinkets to Treasures event. Billed as the largest tag sale in Collin County, there will be tons of gently used items that you can snap up for a bargain.

In McKinney, the 2nd Saturday Art Walk takes place all day. At various locations around McKinney including the downtown square, you can view artists at work while you enjoy great local food and drink.

And, the 46th annual Collin County Art Show happens at the McKinney Performing Arts Center this weekend also.

So whether you’re night strolling, bargain hunting or art walking, go forth and be Savvy!
