April Fool’s Roundup
But, then we figured other websites will be doing it bigger and funnier, and they probably care more too.
Anyway, here are some cool new things happening around our part of the Metroplex:
- Shops at Legacy is getting a Red Mango! This was the progenitor of the yogurt revival, the one the others all spawned from. We wanted to try Red Mango but didn’t want to have to drive down to Northpark, so whee! for lazy yogurt lovers.
- Shops at Starwood is getting Ginny’s Underworld! This lingerie landmark has been fitting Dallas figures for decades. You know how Oprah is always telling you you are wearing the wrong bra size? Ginny’s will get you sorted, along with special-occasion foundations (think prom, wedding, gala). Opening soon in the former DFW Diamonds storefront next to It’s a Grind.
- Ginny’s new neighbor, across the parking lot in the old Petra location, is going to be Tupy’s, a Tex-Mex concept from the owners of Dallas’ beloved Tupinamba.
- Frisco is getting a Buffalo Wild Wings, going in at the former music store location in the Target shopping center at Gaylord and Preston. No idea on opening date, but they’ve filed for their beverage permit… so stay on alert if you’re a big-game-watching, wing-eating, beer-drinking type, or live with one.
- It was a crying shame when Frosted Java closed down, but we can dry our tears at Global Peace Factory, a fab new coffee house on the same block as Kenny’s Burger Joint. Look for a full review of Global Peace Factory, coming soon right here with pics.
So, keep your eyes peeled for these great new Frisco and Plano businesses. No foolin’!
