Fabulous Flea

Think trunk show, not junk show, at the Dallas Flea.

Think trunk show, not junk show, at the Dallas Flea.

Have you heard about an event called the Dallas Flea? It takes place every few months at the Southside on Lamar building, with many fabulous vendors participating.

Here’s what D Mag has to say:

Most flea markets make us feel like we need to bathe for a week after we visit them. The Dallas Flea is a very different experience. First of all, local fashion writer Brittany Edwards is in charge of the event, and if you’ve met her, you know how cool and stylish she is. Second, the market features Texas-based designers, businesses, and entrepreneurs, such as Uptown Country Home, Stella Dallas, Haven, House of MacGregor, and Again & Again. Third, wares include everything from midcentury-modern furniture to gourmet popcorn to costume jewelry, so we should be able to check off everyone on our gift list. And, yes, the vendors do accept credit cards—making this pretty much our idea of heaven.

PaperCity had great things to say about the inaugural event in December, too.

The next one happens this Saturday, and entry is only $5.
