Happy Texas Independence Day, y’all! This is one of my favorite holidays and I had a big Texas-y post all ready to go but it turns out there is BREAKING FASHION NEWS, and I will never let it be said that I put my own state pride before BREAKING FASHION NEWS.

On Thursday, March 4, Neiman’s at the Shops at Willow Bend in Plano is hosting the “Fashion Rules!” party from 6pm – 9pm. This will be a night to celebrate fashion, filled with all sorts of divine entertainments:

At 6 pm there will be a presentation of Spring Trends.

At 7 pm, makeup artist Ashley Robinson makes a “Beauty School Spring Presentation”.

At 8 pm, you can meet designers Kay Unger and Craig Taylor.

There will be a trunk show by Lana Jewelry, and makeovers by artists from Le Métier de Beauté.

Meet author David Woo as he signs copies of his book “Top Dogs and Their Pets”.

There will be a DJ, champagne and hors d’oeuvres. Need we really say more?
