It’s snow, if you ask Dallas meteorologists <eye roll>.

But Savvy shoppers are looking to spring 2010 fashion, to see what the must-haves will be when the weather finally warms up enough for us to shed our gloves and heavy coats.

What really jumps out at us as spring’s One Big Piece is the military jacket, also called the flak jacket or utility jacket.

It’s a versatile outer layer in a khaki or army green or stone-gray, which can go with cute shorts or jeans… over a t-shirt or embellished tank… with boots, strappy heels, or dressed down with flat sandals. A clerk at the Gap at the Galleria had this one on yesterday, and it was so adorable on her that we had to ask her to take us straight to the rack. All the top shops are featuring one of these right now, so keep an eye out for one that you like.
