Romance Express

You know that a pair of Savvy kids like us would never be able to recommend any run-of-the-mill date night for St. Valentine’s Day. Consider instead having Dinner in the Diner.

The Museum of the American Railroad in Dallas hosts this special event on Valentine’s weekend—this year on Friday 2/12 and Saturday 2/13.

Inside a fully restored 1937 dining car from the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railway, you and your sweetie will enjoy a reception with champagne and cocktails, and then a multi-course dinner comprised of authentic recipes from dishes that were served on actual dining cars. You’ll also enjoy music, a keepsake portrait, and other special treats.

The price is $199 per couple, and this unique event always sells out. Call (214) 428-0101 right away to make reservations.

And for that special Collin County connection… did you know that the Museum of the American Railroad will soon be moving from its location at Fair Park in downtown Dallas, right up here to Frisco? It’s true, so enjoy Dinner in the Diner in its original Art Deco home while you can.

Imagine the glamour and romance of a night that truly steps back in time. Dinner in the dining car… how civilized!
