Sartorial Splendor

The Sartorialist spots and snaps real people with real style

The Sartorialist spots and snaps real people with real style

We all need more style in our lives, and if you like a daily dose, add The Sartorialist to your must-read link list.

Scott Schuman was in the fashion biz for 15 years, repping designers like Valentino and Jean-Paul Gaultier, when he started snapping candids of people on the street. He explains:

I started The Sartorialist simply to share photos of people that I saw on the streets of New York that I thought looked great. When I worked in the fashion industry, I always felt that there was a disconnect between what I was selling in the showroom and what I was seeing real people (really cool people) wearing in real life.

The Sartorialist has been embraced by everyone who is in anyone in the style biz, for his sophisticated eye and excellent photos. He even has a regular column in Vogue now! Check out Scott’s photos for your own daily inspiration, and for trends in actual practical fashion, from around the world (like green impact pieces on men).
