Savvy Shoe Secret

Would you like to pay under $100 for the Bailey Button?

Would you like to pay under $100 for the Bailey Button?

Would you like to pay 20-30% less for shoe brands like Nike or UGG? A little birdie gave us an excellent tip today, that we had to rush home and share with you…

The children’s shoe department at Nordstrom is no less sophisticated than its adult counterpart. They know that style-conscious kids want to wear the same kicks as the teens and parents in their lives (like these Spring 2010 pink cardy UGGs, or pewter ballet flats). But because they are kids’ shoes, they are significantly cheaper—for the same brands, style and quality.

Youth shoe sizes correspond to women’s, minus 2. For example, if you wear a woman’s size 8, you would wear a youth 6.

And Nordstrom carries up to youth 6 in their kids’ department.

Are you feeling us yet?

As long as you wear a woman’s size 8 or smaller, you can get cute casual shoes in your size in the Nordstrom kids department for much cheaper. This is an especially good deal if you’ve got a teen at home who is obsessed with UGG boots—which are $90-100 in the kids’ department but $150 or more over in women’s.

So, next time you go into Nordstrom (or onto Nordstrom.com), cruise the kids’ shoe department… you might just find a really Savvy deal.
