Savvy Tidbits

Yay Audra! We'll be over for chocolate martinis at about 6:00, okay?

Yay Audra! We'll be over for chocolate martinis at about 6:00, okay?

  • First, we’d like to congratulate Audra Ruckel, who won the Savvy Sanity Basket filled with treats from Frisco Savvy and 360 Vodka. We drew a number and counted out the corresponding Facebook fan, and it was Audra! So yea for fun presents.

As you can see, being our fan on Facebook has its rewards. You never know when something exciting might happen!
  • We still have The Gents Place gift box to award, but are waiting to hear back from our judge. More soon… (We’re new to contests and still working the kinks out. It happens!)

  • We have another little sussy that we are giving to The List tomorrow morning, so be sure to sign up if you haven’t already. All you have to do to is email us at thelist@friscosavvy.com and ask to be added! We’ll also be announcing some details about SNO #2 on December 16.
  • As if your calendar wasn’t full enough, don’t forget to check out these great local events happening this week: Rockin’ the Village (12/3), Merry Main Street (12/5).
  • The Lancome White Beauty Box comes with everything you see here. Fabulous deal!

The Lancome White Beauty Box comes with everything you see here. Fabulous deal!

  • The Lancome Blog is giving away their White Beauty Box today if you drop a comment on their contest post. This is a $330 value and the box itself is quite lovely. If you don’t win, you can always buy it for yourself at Macy’s. And, Neiman’s is offering the same great $330 kit but in a black box, and at the same price point as the Macy’s deal.
  • Need a hostess gift that is both stylish and on sale? Check out these gorgeous soaps at Barney’s.
  • Not sure what to give to the preschool teacher, the sister-in-law, the dogsitter, the soccer coach, the administrative assistant? Check out Horchow’s gourmet holiday goodies. Need something faster? Get a holiday tin from Love Peace Popcorn, right on Frisco Square.

Finally, a Savvy word of advice… remember to take care of yourself this holiday season. It’s all too easy for us to get distracted and wrapped up in doing for others— which can lead to less sleep, less nutrition, less hydration (drink your water! Your skin needs it!), more stress.

And if you want a sure-fire way to get sick, it’s to run yourself down at a time when your loved ones are counting on you most. So stay happy and healthy for the holidays, and enjoy the little moments of peace and joy this December.
