Ghouls and goblins will be at the door!

Ghouls and goblins will be at the door!

The big weekend is coming up! With Halloween falling on a Saturday this year, more people than ever will be going out, trick-or-treating, attending parties and reveling and frolicking.

This is a fun holiday, but since it often involves being out and about, there are a few safety tips that families should remember, to make sure that a good time doesn’t turn into a sad one.

Check out this article from Lance Armstrong’s foundation LIVESTRONG, called 10 Mistakes Parents Make On Halloween.

Now’s the time to have conversations with your kids… especially your tweens and teens who will be too distracted when the weekend rolls around. Talk now about ways they can be safe if they are attending parties without you, or going trick-or-treating with friends in other neighborhoods.

And if you don’t have kiddos, it can’t hurt to remember that more of them than ever will be out on darkened streets this weekend.

Be safe, take your time, and have fun… it’s the Savvy Way!
